 | Danny in the Sky
Danny (Thierry Pépin) is a stunningly good-looking teenager and has begun to use those looks to his benefit - working as model and stripper. The drawback? Everyone is convinced he’s gay, and they certainly have reasons to believe that's so. Besides his career and flawless appearance, Danny also has an openly gay father (who’s radically opposed to his career ambitions), and his mom (who died of an overdose) was a beautiful model diva! Is he gay? How can he not be? Outwardly rebelling against people’s expectations, Danny internally isn’t so sure - perhaps he is gay.

 | Defying Gravity
This earnest low-budget drama centers around a college student who is forced to come to terms with his closeted gay sexuality. Griff (Chilson) is a seemingly happy jock who blends in comfortably with his sex-starved, towel-snapping, group-showering fraternity brothers at a Southern California university. But, in reality, he’s a gay man who has been clandestinely involved with Pete (Handfield), his cute boyhood friend. An argument ensues after Pete begins to pressure him to be more open about their relationship. After they part, Pete is attacked by gay-bashers, an action which leads Griff to question his life of lies.

 | Edge of Seventeen
One of the theatrical hits of 1999, this drama by David Moreton played festivals and was a small success theatrically. The teen coming out theme is familiar but is handled quite well. A teenager accepts/discovers his sexual identity one 1984 summer while working at a Lake Erie amusement park. DeLaria is featured as his tough but tender boss.

 | For A Lost Soldier
It is love-at-first-sight for the two who, undeterred by their language barrier, develop a friendship that begins first as buddies and develops later into a full-blown love affair. Their one lovemaking scene in which Walt calls Jeroen 'his little prince' is achingly romantic and sexually intense. And while the film isn't sexually graphic, it may shock with it's cavalier attitude towards their tender love. What is truly remarkable is that their is no negative after-effect of this affair on the boy. A truly rare and extraordinary film. (Dutch with English subititles)

 | Fox And His Friends
Fassbinder's first specifically male gay-themed film is a richly textured and powerful drama of the relationship between two gay men of vastly different social backgrounds. A lower-class carnival entertainer, Fox (played by Fassbinder), finds himself suddenly flush after winning 500,000DM in a lottery. He soon becomes involved in an ill-fated romance with gold-digging Eugen, a rich, manipulative young man. The eternal class struggle and the continued exploitation of the poor and working class is tragically played out as the unwitting Fox is swindled out of his money and self-respect by his bourgeois lover and his family. A sharply observed coming-of-age story, Get Real is infused with charm, humor, emotion and a knowing sense of the difficulties of being a gay teen. Life changes for the soft-spoken teen when he locks eyes on the school's strappingly handsome super-jock John (Gorton). | Gods and Monsters
In a performance that is nothing short of brilliant, McKellen hypnotizes as gay film director James Whale in this moving, poetic adaptation of Christopher Bram's novel "Father of Frankenstein." The story ostensibly follows the friendship between Whale -- now in his early 60s and suffering the effects of a stroke -- and his handsome straight gardener (Fraser); but at the core of this lyrical tale is a study of desire and self-determination.
